OMC Med Energy returns to Ravenna
from October 24th to 26th 2023
Energy and innovation for a "just transition" is the driving idea behind OMC Med Energy, the energy event rescheduled for October 24th to 26th after the postponement due to the flood that affected the Emilia-Romagna region and the Ravenna territories. The coming edition confirms the position of Ravenna at the centre of the Mediterranean energy agenda and will bring together again industry operators, stakeholders and national and international institutions to discuss and exchange ideas on decarbonization, transition and energy security strategies.
"We are pleased to confirm the rescheduling of the autumn event in Ravenna after last month's flood that affected the region. The city has been an international hub for energy discussions for decades, both for us and for the entire industry involved. With its 30th anniversary OMC Med Energy aims to become a reference point for the countries of the Mediterranean, which represents the true bridge between the North and South of the world," says Monica Spada, President of OMC Med Energy. "With this year edition, we aim to be increasingly a real laboratory for the creation of new and innovative businesses that focus on energy transition, ensuring energy security, competitiveness, and sustainability. With these premises and the ambition that characterizes the history of OMC Med Energy, we are particularly proud to confirm the event in Ravenna, as an opportunity to bring the city and its industrial district at the centre of international dialogue."
"We are pleased to announce that the 2023 edition of OMC Med Energy will take place" says Michele de Pascale, Mayor of Ravenna. "This is important news because it is a fundamental event for Ravenna, deeply linked to the identity of this city and its prominent role in the energy field, in Europe and worldwide. Its rescheduling, in such a short time, demonstrates how central this sector is for Ravenna and how the entire community is committed to an immediate and effective recovery."
An international event that also aligns with the mission and vision of OMC Med Energy - renewed in its visual identity - and will provide a platform for the analysis of key themes for the energy industry: the levers of green and digital transition, structural interventions and activities on the economic, political and social fronts to address climate change. It will also focus on current geopolitical scenarios and their resulting effects, along with the need for an independent European energy policy, crucial to meeting the ongoing political, economic and social challenges within the framework of a secure and ambitious energy supply chain.
