How does it work?

You'll be able to submit your abstract in a few weeks. OMC Med Energy Programme Committee will evaluate all applications and by October authors will be notified about the status of their abstracts.

Authors of selected contributions will be asked to:

confirm that the full paper they are going to present has never appeared elsewhere
submit a full paper (max 14 pages) within the set deadline
identify 1 Speaker per paper (benefitting from discounted registration fees)
perform Speaker registration to attend the conference
present their work within the allotted session at OMC Med Energy 2027

Please note that abstracts of commercial nature and work having had previous circulation won't be accepted and that they should reflect work completed at the time of submission, not ideas taking shape or research that is still immature.

October 2026 : Selection notification
February 2027 : Paper submission deadline
13th-15th April 2027: In person presentation in Ravenna

Speakers are eligible for one of OMC Med Energy Awards to be announced during the farewell lunch on the closing day.

How to prepare your abstract(s)

Abstract length: minimum 400 - maximum 800 words in good English, no pictures/graphs, no tradenames.
Abstract content: highlight contributions in terms of knowledge, experience, possible applications of the information provided, results, any technical, economic and innovation enhancement. The abstract should be an informative accurate summary of the full paper and not a mere recital of the subjects to be covered.
