OMC Med Energy will be at Cop 27 in Sharm El Sheikh next 6-18 November within the framework of the Mediterranean Pavilion organized by Union for the Mediterranean
For the first time in COP’S history, the 27th edition will host a Mediterranean Pavilion.
The initiative is conceived to highlight both the urgent challenges the Mediterranean is currently facing, and the innovative solutions already being developed, raising awareness on a region overlooked in the climate negotiations.
Located in the COP27 Blue zone, the Mediterranean Pavilion led by Union for the Mediterranean will host relevant events and working meetings and provide an exceptional opportunity to highlight the severe challenges the region is currently facing as well as to illustrate, share, scale up and discuss the advanced initiatives applied and planned throughout the Mediterranean region.
As a partner of Union for the Mediterranean, OMC Med Energy Conference will be part of this challenging experience.
The need for partnerships and multi-stakeholder collective actions have been at the heart of the new OMC Med Energy Conference over the last years.
With an innovative and inclusive approach OMC Med Energy Conference is committed to investigate and facilitate alliances amongst diverse industry sectors to further enrich the debate on sustainable energy and sustainable growth.
These common values and goals will empower all the initiatives the Mediterranean Pavilion is going to host at COP27, and OMC MED ENERGY will actively contribute with three technical discussions on:
- The crucial role of a Mediterranean partnership: toward a Euro-Mediterranean green-new deal.
- The crucial role of a Mediterranean partnership – Reaching net zero in the Mediterranean with CO2 capture and storage
- The crucial role of a Mediterranean partnership – Renewables energy
