"Import-Export of Natural Gas in the Mediterranean Area: The role of Italy"
The recent crisis between GAZPROM, the Russian oil company supplying gas to Europe, and Ukraine, has pointed out how important is the diversification of sources and location to secure the supply and keep prices under control.
Andris Piebalgs, the European Energy Commissioner has recently stated that “ reducing dependence on one big supplier and ensuring security of energy supplies are now top priorities. measures under consideration include plans to diversify gas suppliers and LNG. “Europe” needs a clear and more collective cohesive policy on security of energy supply”.
Today it is recognised that to face the oil and gas increasing demand, a more aggressive exploration, new transport infrastructures and new refining facilities are necessary.
OMC has always been very dedicated to discuss in depth the challenges and problems set the activities in the oil & gas business.
In co-operation with AIEE, Italian Association of Energy Economists, and ASSOMINERARIA, Italian Petroleum and Mining Industry Association, OMC is pleased to announce next OMC Workshop on
